Influential Punk Rocker & Former Municipal Waste Drummer Brandon Ferrell Has Died

Most of the more influential punk acts to have existed in the past two decades all seem to share a common thread – Brandon Ferrell. Today, news comes that the seminal punk rock figure has passed away.

Ferrell filled various roles in several key outfits including Government Warning, Career Suicide, Direct Control, Wasted Time and of course Municipal Waste where he previously handled the sticks. Ferrell would go on to found No Way Records who were integral to the release of some top notch punk and hardcore.

At the time of publish, no official cause of death has been released. News of his passing came via the No Municipal Waste Facebook page, sharing the track Substitute Creature, a track from their 2003 debut album Waste ‘Em All which features Ferrell.
