A Day On The Green Unleashes Monstrous Lineup Of Aus Rock Greats

A collection of Australia’s finest bands, headed by You Am I, Something For Kate and Spiderbait, are coming together for A Day On The Green.

Jebediah and The Meanies will also be accompanying them on the tour which will see them trip around six wineries in November.

The five bands all rose to prominence in the ’90s but have continued to play together for decades with each of the five releasing a new record within the past four years.

As Spiderbait frontman Kram noted (via The Music), the bands have all played together numerous times but they have “never all played on the same stage and the same tour at the same time.”

“To play anywhere, anytime is a gas, but to play with friends in wineries? That’s high falutin’ nuclear blast potential,” the always colourful Tim Rogers of You Am I said about the tour which they’re all clearly excited about.

“Here we are in 2016 and all five of these bands (all old mates now) are about to hit the road together for the very first time to take the very concept of the Afternoon All-Ages Show and tear it a new one,” Something For Kate’s Paul Dempsey said about the tour which sounds like it will be a celebration of each of the band’s impressive longevity.

The tour will start on 5th November in the Hunter Valley and wrap-up on 20th November in Perth. Check out all the details below.
