Following the release of the critically acclaimed album Zonoscope, Cut Copy have just been announced as the latest addition on the Playground Weekender line-up, bringing the blissful mix of styles to the mainstage alongside acts such as Lamb, Tricky and De La Soul.
The band are expected to play a lot of material off Zonoscope. Speaking of the album band leader Dan Whitford said this. “All the way along we had this weird vision of a tropical, jungle, tribal sound. A place or an idea that we wanted to reach with some of the songwriting; to explore a looping hypnotic trance and revise the whole palette of what Cut Copy was about.”
Playground Weekender runs from the 17th – 20th of February at The Del Rio Riverside Resort at Wiseman’s Ferry on the Hawkesbury River. Tickets are are still available via the festival website
