Corey Taylor Won’t Be Headbanging Or Jumping During Slipknot’s Australian Tour, On Doctor’s Orders

Corey Taylor has been given some truly brutal news.

The Slipknot frontman has been ordered by doctors to abstain from headbanging and jumping during the band’s forthcoming tour dates, which includes their Australian shows this October.

It comes after CT broke his actual neck and Slipknot had to postpone two weeks’ worth of their North American tour dates for the maggot master to recover from emergency spinal surgery.

And though his recovery has been going well, Taylor has just updated fans on the doctors’ orders for his upcoming shows with the Knot:

So if all goes well, Taylor should be close to 90% healed by the time he touches down on Aussie turf with The Nine.

It basically just means Clown and Chris Fehn are gonna have to work even harder to gee up the crowd while their frontman’s not firing on all cylinders.

But if you have any doubts about Slipknot’s show being the usual mind-blowing fiery metal spectacular that it normally is, remember Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses still kicked ass with their crippled frontmen confined to stage-thrones, and Happy Gilmore still beat Shooter McGavin when he lost the power to hit the long ball.

We’re sure CT will do just fine.
