Hear The Stunning Score From The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season Finale

STANDARD GAME OF THRONES SPOILER ALERT. You’ve been warned.

And as quickly as it came, Game Of Thrones wraps up for another year. Only this time its different, as for the first time in 6 years, we, the fans are getting exactly what we want – sweet, sweet street justice. Still, many any of us are still sitting deadpan, staring off into the middle distance reminiscing the Westerosian drama, and now we can soundtrack that accordingly for you.

Out of all the crazy twists, conclusions and new story threads to go down in the 90-minute special, it was the show’s opening score that seemed to leave the biggest impact. Departing form their usual structure, the show began the Trial scene with the ominous dripping of a piano and swelling strings, the proverbial (and literal) axe seeming to swing closer and closer with each note.

The original composition is called Light Of The Seven and despite being a noticeable detachment from the show’s usual audio accompaniment, it was composed by Game Of Thrones regular Ramin Djawadi. Forget the millions of dollars in CGI, it’s the combination of discordant scenes and sounds that makes Game Of Thrones such a cinematic feat.

Now we have to find that little bit of Game Of Thrones in whatever we can to make it through the next 12 months. Rave Of Thrones will be happening soon. Or perhaps we could pick up a copy of Ramsay Bolton’s new album? That or hang out for Samwell Tarly’s feature film debut.

Until then, relive the drama of season six with Light Of The Seven here below.
