Backstreet Boys Announce New Music As *N SYNC’s Joey Fatone Opens Hotdog Stand

Backstreets Back (again).

Society is continuing to hit peak ’90s nostalgia, with news that the one-time biggest boyband in the world is returning to reclaim their throne.

Backstreet Boys – no doubt spurred to action by the gap left in the market by One Direction – are apparently hard at work churning out at least one new tune for an August release date.

We know this because “the sensitive one” Brian Littrell told us so via Instagram:

FYI: FGL refers to an American country music duo called Florida Georgia Line, which should make for an – uh -interesting collab? We’re thinking something like I Want It That Way meets Steps’ 5,6,7,8?

Anyhoo, news of the fab five’s fresh record comes at a time when the lads are already courting a resurgence.

In case you haven’t been following their career trajectory since Year 4 (and if so, you’re clearly not a true fan), they actually released an album in 2013 called In A World Like This, and have since chased it up with an Australian tour, not to mention several high profile performances including a bonafide Las Vegas residency.

A few members are even starring in the inexplicable zombie western movie Dead 7 alongside members of *NSYNC.

And speaking of *NSYNC, at the same time as news of Backstreet Boys’ forthcoming album has reached our earholes, Joey Fatone has just announced plans to open up a hot dog stand at the Florida Mall in Orlando called Fat One’s Hot Dogs & Italian Ice.

Which one of the now almost 40-year-old poppers’ new ventures will be the most cheesy?

Only time will tell.

In the meantime, when the f*ck is a 5ive reunion happening?!?

Da funk isn’t gonna slam dunk itself.
