Tyler The Creator signs with XL Recordings

Leader of Sacramento rap collective and hip hop’s new hope Odd Future (full name Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) Tyler The Creator has just announced that his next album Goblin, the follow up to his self released free online album Bastard which you can download here, will be released on XL Recordings, Tyler having signed a one album deal with the imprint which is also home to such artists as Vampire Weekend, RJD2 and M.I.A.

The barely 20 year old starting causing waves late last year with his, and his fellow OFWGKTA compatriots raw rapping style and videos as well as their on point production, rapping about his estranged father as well as his obsession with serial killers and rapists. Having recently announced that he would be appearing on Late Nite with Jimmy Fallon along with Hodgy Beats, one of his main Odd Future collaborators and one half of MellowHype, as well as being featured in The Fader and Rolling Stone, having been championed by Pitchfork and other influential music sites, what a lot of people wrote off as nothing but a flash in the pan, looks like it might carry more of a bang than people expected.
