Did Frank Ocean Just Reveal The Release Date Of His New Album?

Frank Ocean is mercilessly teasing fans with a cryptic hint about his long-awaited new album (and matching zine) Boys Don’t Cry.

The R&B crooner has updated his website with a new post entitled “Late”, which includes an image of a library slip marked with the album title and stamped with a bunch of dates.

Said dates run from last July – when fans originally expected Ocean’s album to drop – but only two are from the future: one reads “July 2016” with the exact date smudged, while another reads “November 13th 2016”.

Some have interpreted this visual brainbuster as evidence that Ocean will be releasing the follow-up to 2012’s Channel Orange either this month (!) or else in November.

While Consequence of Sound has suggested that perhaps the July date refers to when we’re going to hear the disc’s first single?

Ocean’s younger brother Ryan Breaux has since posted the same image on Instagram alongside the caption “BOYS DON’T CRY #JULY2016,” although he is a notorious Ocean fan troller and therefore probably of little help.

Either way, it looks like we can hopefully expect new Frank Ocean material of some kind to drop this month!

The singer’s mate Chance The Rapper has called the disc “a masterpiece”, while  collaborator James Blake reckons it’s “better” than Channel Orange, so it sounds like fans have plenty to be excited about.
