FBi Announces National Northern Lights Competition For 2016

Sydney’s beloved FBi Radio has announced another round of its next level Northern Lights Competition. Open to bands from all around country, Northern Lights gives one talented winner a chance to head to the other side of the planet for a truly out-of-this-world experience.

Entries to the Northern Lights competition in 2016 are officially open today. Solo artists and bands, 18+, from across Australia are encouraged to get amongst it and upload their material here.

Should you be the chosen one, you’ll cop flights, accommodation, a session at Sigur Rós’s Sundlaugin Studio, the chance to meet with some international industry figures and also a slot on the line up for Iceland Airwaves Festival in Reykjavik in November, where you’ll be joining PJ Harvey, Warpaint and more.

But that’s not it. Upon returning to Australia, you’ll get to spend 3 days at Studio 301 to add the finishing touches to the masterpiece you started back in Iceland.

Previous winners include Rainbow Chan and Oliver Tank. So you’ll be in pretty good company.

Entries are open until Friday August 5, 2016. Head here for more info.
