Danny Brown Has Named His Album After A Joy Division Song

We still don’t have a release date for Danny Brown‘s forthcoming album but we now have an album title.

Brown took to Twitter to announce that album number four will be called Atrocity Exhibition named after the Joy Division song of the same name. Atrocity Exhibition was the oepning track of their 1980 record Closer and was named after a book of the same name by J.G. Ballard.

Someone tried to tell that to Brown on Twitter and suggested that he read it but he was already all over it.

Very little is known about the record yet except that he was putting the finished touches on it last month and that it’s inspired by Talking Heads, which he revealed to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 (via Pitchfork).

We’ve heard one song from the record so far When It Rain which came not long after his feature with The Avalanches, Frankie Sinatra, was released.

A fan asked Brown on Twitter when we can expect Atrocity Exhibition and he replied telling us to direct that question towards his manager Dart Parker. Parker hasn’t said anything since.
