Live Lodge Pop-Up Returns To Melbourne With Killer Music Program

Rolling Stone mag’s iconic Live Lodge event is returning to Melbourne for a second romp.

The music festival pop-up is set to commandeer Fitzroy’s Workers Club for three entertainment-chocked weeks, running from September 21st – October 9th and featuring a stack of special artist performances, Q&A’s and DJ sets from a stylistic lolly bag of Australia’s finest.

The first announcement comes packing exclusive shows from REMI, Flyying Colours, Kim SalmonAPES, Briggs and Trials’ new collab A.B. Original,  plus an intimate evening with Shihad frontman Jon Toogood featuring a live Q+A, a special performance from Oh Mercy’s Alexander Gow & Friends, Killing Heidi legend Ella Hooper and her New Magic Band and Victorian rockers Stonefield unleashing some of their brand new material.

“Our last Live Lodge in Melbourne 2014 was an incredible success so it’s great to be back at the Workers Club again this year,” Rolling Stone Editor-in-Chief Matt Coyte said in a statement.

“We’re programming a really diverse range of artists from the well-known to up-and-coming acts, so no matter what you’re into there’ll be a night just for you. We can’t wait to cause some ruckus – come and have a drink with us!”

There’ll also be an exhibition of classic Rolling Stone mag covers in a special VIP room at the Live Lodge dubbed the SONOS Lounge, where the mag will be hosting even more exclusive events.

It marks the first time that the exhibition – which features over 60 iconic covers of the publication across 40 years of print history – will be on display in inner-city Melbourne.

A second artist announcement and special event program for the SONOS Lounge is set to drop in the coming weeks, but for now, have a gander at the first itinerary below.
