Mark Ronson, Dan Auerbach & Action Bronson Collab On ‘Suicide Squad’ Track ‘Standing In The Rain’

Producer Mark Ronson, The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and rapper Action Bronson have teamed up on a new song called Standing In The Rain, the latest track to drop from the Suicide Squad film soundtrack.

Debuted on Beats 1, Standing In The Rain (below) is an updated take on Oran ‘Juice’ Jones’ ’80s hit The Rain, and features blues and western vibes with a sweet verse from Bronson and some extra vocals from Auerbach.

Speaking with Beats 1‘s Zane Lowe, Ronson says the song has actually been around for a while, but has only now found a home. The track is said to feature in a Suicide Squad scene featuring Will Smith’s character Deadshot.

“I just couldn’t believe that Dan [Auerbach] was just so cool and was like, ‘Do you mind singing this old Oran ‘Juice’ Jones song that you’ve never heard?’ When I finally got it back I was like, ‘This is cool,” Ronson says.

Standing In The Rain is the latest in a list of songs we’ve already heard from the Suicide Squad soundtrack, including Skrillex and Rick Ross’ Purple Lamborghini, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons’ Sucker For Pain, Twenty One Pilots’ Heathens and Kehlani’s Gangsta.

Listen to Standing In The Rain, below. Suicide Squad is set for release in Australia on Thursday, 4th August, with the soundtrack out on Friday, 5th August.
