Thanks To Your Pestering The ‘Stranger Things’ Soundtrack Is Coming This Friday

The soundtrack for Netflix show Stranger Things is being released this Friday.

As expected, the soundtrack is packed with ’70s and ’80s-leaning tracks composed by S U R V I V E, the Austin band who soundtracked the show.

This is only the first part of the soundtrack and will be followed by a physical release on 16th September. The second instalment will drop on 19th August with the physical release coming out on 23rd September.

It’s a massive 36 tracks long which will surely satisfy fans who have finished watching the show and are craving just a little bit more.

“We discussed having a classic tone and feel to the music for the show but being reserved enough that it wasn’t ’80s cheese, while offering a refreshing quality so that felt modern,” Michael Stein of the band said.

“This was one of the qualities that drew them to our music in the first place. Having a familiarity with classic synths worked, but with an overall forward thinking approach.”

If you were after the ’70s and ’80s classics featured in the show then there’s a Spotify playlist which you can dig into below.

S U R V I V E will also release their own album RR7349 on 30th September, if you still haven’t got enough.
