Actor James Franco and his partner-in-crime in the band Daddy, Tim O’Keefe, have served us with a Franco-directed, NSFW video for a remix of their original track I’m A Sword Swallower, and it is hella weird.
Filmed within Los Angeles’ iconic Chateau Marmont, the video for Prince Rama’s flip of the song (below) is grainy, DIY and loaded with nudity. The scene appears to be of an orgy, but we’re sure this is just a statement on modern identity constructs and society’s role in providing labels, or something. We’re all fucking each other, you guys.
“Everything gets wild at the Chateau Marmont,” Franco says. “Bungalow 2, where they rehearsed Rebel Without a Cause in the 50s and Nicholas Ray had his affair with young Natalie Wood. Some hippies threw a party, and things got wild.”
Fortunately, O’Keefe offers something a bit more solid, saying, “Prince Rama’s remix creates the perfect soundtrack for our short film that explores gender, power play, and Hollywood lore in a cinematic psychedelic dream. Prince Rama and Daddy are a match made in heaven.”
