Bon Iver Has Shared New Single ’33 ‘GOD” And We Still Need A Moment To Process It

Bon Iver‘s forthcoming record has been the talk of the town since it’s airing at the recent Eaux Claire festival and while it’s due to be released to the public on Friday, 30th September, they’ve unleashed another track ahead of its release 33 ‘GOD’.

The track has been aptly released 33 days before the release of the album and, well, it’s certainly something.

Don’t get us wrong, 33 ‘GOD’ is a thing of glory, the likes of which can only come from the mind of Justin Vernon, but it’s certainly a lot to take in. The melody and beat are borderline schizophrenic, not incorrectly so, but almost as if it’s orbiting to a metronome we mere mortals simple cannot register.

The lyrics add gallons of weirdness to the track with an equally as unpredictable flow of words and visuals with almost uncomfortably contracting visual queues. But, as with most stuff Bon Iver put out, we couldn’t look away for a second.

The new track comes hot on the heels of two other cuts from the album, 22 (OVER S∞∞N) [Bob Moose Extended Cab Version] and 10 d E A T h b R E a s T ⊠ ⊠ (Extended Version), both of which had an experimental edge to them as well.

Check out 33 ‘GOD’ and prepare your mind for something pretty special.
