De La Soul Announce 2016 Australian Tour

Red Bull Music Academy will continue to bring us some massive gigs in the back end of 2016, with today’s announcement that US hip hop legends De La Soul will be touring the country in November.

The Grammy-winning outfit have just released their first new album in more than a decade, titled And The Anonymous Nobody, and will bring their new cuts as well as all their old classics to three intimate shows down under for Red Bull Music Academy.

De La Soul will play three dates across Perth, Byron Bay and Sydney only. The new record was funded via Kickstarter, with the band raising over $600,000 from their most loyal fans to bring their vision to life this year.

Red Bull Music Academy are also holding their RBMA Weekender in Sydney this September.

UPDATE 31/10/16: Due to mental demand and Byron Bay being sold out, De La have announced a new shows for Brisbane and Melbourne.

UPDATE 14/11/16: Unfortunately, due to situations out of their control – bad weather, plane delays & the unavailability of private planes, De La Soul were unable to perform their Byron show. Organisers have announced a new night for the date.
