The Strokes’ Guitarist Nick Valensi Announces His Sideproject CRX Are Releasing An Album

Nick Valensi of The Strokes has announced that his new band is gearing up for the release of its debut LP.

We first heard that the group, dubbed CRX, had formed earlier this month, with Guards and Willowz’ Richie James Follin, The Does’s Ralph Alexander, Jon Safely of The Reflections and Darian Zahedi joining Valensi in the project.

So it turns out they’ve been working on something big, and have turned around a full length LP at breakneck speed. The record, which was produced by Josh Homme from Queen Of The Stone Age – will be titled New Skin and is due out Friday, 28th October on Columbia Records.

CRX have also teased the album artwork and provided the full tracklist for the record – check out both below.
