‘Carpool Karaoke’ Beat Beyoncé At The Emmys & The Beyhive Is Pissed

Beyoncé wins everything. Just last month she became the most decorated winner at the MTV Video Music Awards, but now something shocking has happened and she’s lost at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards (a precursor to next week’s Primetime Emmys) to James Corden’s The Late Late Show segment Carpool Karaoke.

Bey was up for a Variety Special award for Lemonade, which aired on HBO, against Corden’s popular segment, which has seen him sing in the car with everyone from Justin Bieber to Jennifer Lopez. Corden took out the award, and now understandably the Beyhive is pissed because…

Corden also beat out Adele and Amy Schumer, but it’s the Beyhive that’s really upset, letting Corden know that he’s just spoiled any chance of every getting Bey on Carpool Karaoke.

It’s a shame for Corden, because earlier this year he revealed to Vogue that Bey was at the top of his list of artists he wants to jump in the car with him. He also parodied Lemonade, although he wasn’t nominated for an Emmy for that so in that way, Beyoncé has won the Lemonade vs. Lemonade battle.

Maybe Corden should go away for a little while and wait for this all to die down. Once you’ve awoken the Beyhive it’s near impossible not to get stung. Still, he’s got to be pretty happy with himself. He’s already picked up two Emmys this year — the first was for Best Interactive Program. Here’s how he’s reacted on Twitter:
