AFL CEO Drops Massive Hint That Sting Is Playing This Year’s Grand Final

AFL Chief Executive Officer Gillon McLachlan has pretty much confirmed that Sting will be performing at the AFL Grand Final over the coming October long weekend.

Speaking to Neil Mitchell on 3AW radio this morning, McLachlan mention “the bee man” and was “not denying Sting” when asked about the Grand Final entertainment. He went on to say, “We sorta know… We just haven’t announced it.”

Sting will supposedly be playing alongside Australian football fanatic and musician Mike Brady, who McLachlan confirms is performing in the interview.

This would also mean that Sting will be sharing an otherwise all-Aussie AFL Grand Final stage with homegrown acts Vance Joy and The Living End.

With all things considered, we may indeed receive a visit from the superstar that is Sting in just a matter of weeks. Check out McLachlan’s full radio interview, below.
