Brace Yourself: Shannon Noll Has A New Single & It’s About Utes

This morning Shannon Noll teased some “exciting news” via a shaky attempt at a Facebook Live video, and now he’s revealed his latest single, titled Who I Am.

The new song will be released on 30th September, just before Nollsie’s performance at the Deni Ute Muster, and appropriately, the track is all about utes. It’s also probably the most pop-infused track we’ve heard from Nollsie in a long time.

Nollsie, who has risen to cult hero status in the past year or so, has also shared an amazing lyric video for the song, in which lyrics are written on roads, highway signs and around his black ute with its personalised ‘nollsie1’ number plate.

Who I Am is me saying this is me like it or not, I think in this business people try to make you something you’re not,” says Nollsie of the new track. “It’s a joyful song that is all about being yourself and doing the things that make you happy.”

Nollsie also announced that the single is the first to arise from a new record deal with Warner Music, and is also the first taste of a fifth studio album which will be released in early 2017.
