Lady Gaga’s Bought Frank Zappa’s LA Mansion

Lady Gaga‘s really pulling out all the stops to embody the rock ‘n’ roll vibes of her forthcoming album Joanne.

She’s worked on the record with Josh Homme, Beck, Mark Ronson and our very own Tame Impala and now she’s bought the legendary Frank Zappa‘s LA mansion so she can live the life of a true rock star.

As Variety reports, Gaga purchased the home in the Hollywood Hills for just over $5 million.

The house has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms so Gaga can basically play host to all of her album collaborators. There’s also an attached staff apartment and two guest houses.

Zappa lived there from the mid-’70s right up until his death in 1993 and apparently his “touches” are still well and truly apart of the house. There’s a dragon mural and “porthole windows and doors salvaged from vintage submarines”, among other things.

Something that Gaga will surely get plenty of use out of is the recording studio in the home called Utility Muffin Research Kitchen. Zappa recorded material there himself and earlier this year it was opened to the public as an art exhibition.

Check out a tour of the house below.
