Dirty Projectors Return With Warped New Song ‘Keep Your Name’

Dirty Projectors are back on the scene with a brand new tune.

The experimental US collective have returned with their first new piece of music since 2012, a hypnotic track dubbed Keep Your Name, which glitches and zig-zags all over the musical spectrum from electro to soul to hip hop, and a bunch of uncharted territory in between.

It’s a slight step away from the folksy, predominantly acoustic stylings of their last album, Swing Lo Magellan. And we suppose only time will tell whether it ushers in a fully blown sonic shift for the band.

The schizophrenic track also comes packing surreal visuals, directed by Longstreth & Elon Rutberg.

No word yet on whether a new Dirty Projectors album is on the way, but the last time the art rockers released new music, they also announced an Australian tour.

Just sayin.
