Avenged Sevenfold Are Teasing Something, And It Looks Big

OK, so Avenged Sevenfold are definitely up to something.

The metal titans seem to be channeling The Dark Knight, because a huge projection of their iconic death bat logo has been mysteriously appearing on buildings all over the world, and fans have been going batty trying to figure out just what it all means.

So far, the deathbat signal has been spotted around London and Berlin, while WWE Superstar and Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho even posted a snap of it on the side of a stadium in Toronto:

So far, fans on Reddit and on the band’s official forum seem to be split over whether the clues could be pointing to a new tour, new album, or the apocalypse as we know it.

As one user astutely put it:

And a new album would make a lot of sense. A7X’s last record was 2013’s Hail To The King so the timing is right for the dawn of a new album cycle, plus the band did tease an absolute shredfest of a new recording back in April.

To our knowledge, there’ve been no deathbat sightings in Australia so far, but we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.

So for now:
