Korn Bring The Old School Groove With New Song ‘Take Me’

Here’s another kernel of Korn‘s new album for you to sink your teeth into.

The nu-metal lords have just unleashed the fourth song off their forthcoming 12th studio LP The Serenity Of Suffering, and once again it’s a gratifying throwback to their glory days.

Though not quite as brutal as their new disc’s previous offerings Rotting In Vain, Insane and A Different World (feat. Slipknot’s Corey Taylor), fresh cut Take Me is a dreadlock-flinging groove-fest with a soaring clean, spacey chorus and some trademark heavy-ass breakdowns (BTW has anyone else noticed that lead singer Jonathan Davis has a tendency to pronounce the word “me” just like Kath from Kath & Kim??)

As Alt Press points out, Davis has indicated that The Serenity Of Suffering focuses largely on his battles with his inner demons, and that Take Me in particular deals with his struggles with addiction.

Get your ears on the new tune below and tide yourself over til the album drops next Friday, 21st October.
