Justin Bieber’s Aussie Tour Tickets Are Being Resold For Up To $3.5K

Bieber Fever has turned to outrage faster than The Biebs’ was caught driving during his 2014 drag racing arrest.

That’s because tickets to Justin Bieber‘s imminent Australian tour, which were quickly snapped up after going on sale yesterday, have since been re-listed on Ticketmaster’s resale site at insanely jacked-up prices.

The most frothed-over tickets to Bieber’s gig at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium (AKA the $185 ‘A Reserve’ tix) sold-the-fark-out within minutes of going on sale, and can now be purchased via the official reseller for up to a cool $3,500, or 19 times the original price:

What. Do. U. Mean?

Naturally, Beliebers are pissed:

Ticketmaster Resale lets ticket-holders determine their own resale prices for previously purchased tickets, and it seems there’s not much of a limit to how high these prices can soar.

Meanwhile, a Frontier Touring spokesperson has told News Corp that there wasn’t room in The Bieb’s schedule to add extra concerts to his Aussie tour, which partially explains why punters have been scrambling like starved seagulls over a hot chip to get their beaks on tickets.

Music Feeds has contacted the Department Of Fair Trading for a statement on Ticketmaster’s responsibilities when it comes to facilitating online scalping, which – as police have once again reminded punters in the wake of Bieber’s Purpose tour – is totes illegal:

A similar increase in resale ticket prices happened recently following the announcement of Crowded House’s exclusive Encore shows at the Sydney Opera House.

There have been loads of complaints about websites crashing after Justin Bieber tickets went on sale yesterday, and as of today there are only random single seats sprinkled the stadium still available for Bieber’s Melbourne show.

So for those who haven’t yet got their hands on tickets:
