Thar she blows! A second Castaway festival on the horizon.
The lineup for this summer’s instalment of Australia’s annual island fest has already been unveiled, featuring the likes of Gang of Youths, Jarryd James, Bag Raiders, and more.
But seemingly not content for just one day in paradise, the organisers of the Rottnest Island event have doubled the bait by announcing a second instalment of the festival, taking place in 2017. Yep, two Castaways in one summer.
The fresh lineup for Castaway part deux has just been dredged from the deep and it’s a bloody catch and a half.
Sydney trio RÜFÜS have been harpooned to headline the second beachside blowout, with organisers also netting Brissie producer The Kite String Tangle, Sydney’s Yuma X and old m8s Pilerats DJs to light up the waterfront concert stage.
Hot on the heels of the event on Sunday December 11th, Castaway will return to the postcard-perfect tropical surrounds of Thompson’s Bay on Sunday, 12th February, for punters aged 18 and over.
The only question is now: which one to attend?
