MØ has united on stage with Melanie C from the Spice Girls to perform her version of the groups’ massive hit Say You’ll Be There.
The Danish popstar released a cover of Say You’ll Be There back in 2014 but it’s taken two years for her to link up with someone from the group.
They finally got up on stage together during her show in London on Saturday night to perform MØ’s version of the song and by all reports the crowd went nuts.
Judging by their social media posts after the performance, the pair are now BFFLs.
Mel C said that, “she slayed” and even went as far as saying, “She was inspired by the Spice Girls as a kid now she inspires me.”
“Yesterday I was joined on stage by my childhood idol,” MØ wrote on Instagram.
“I literally became 8 year old Karen right there on stage and it was so emotional, so surreal and so uplifting!! Thank u so so much Melanie for making a dream come true for this girl and for making the crowd blow off the roof of Roundhouse!!”
Earlier this year Mel C turned down a Spice Girls reunion because, “something didn’t feel quite right,” so this is probably the closest any of us are going to get to seeing Mel as a Spice Girl again.
MØ will be in Australia later this year for Falls Festival and Field Day although it’s unfortunately unlikely that her Spice Girl mate will be joining her.
