Still Flyin’ Commences Aussie Tour

San Francisco party band Still Flyin’ is about to hit Australian shores with their first stop on Friday 30 January at The Troubadour in Brisbane, supported by Greg Brady & The Anchors and Monnone Alone. This headline show will be followed by a national tour including performances at the Laneway Festival on Saturday 31 January in Brisbane and Sunday 01 February in Melbourne.

Celebrating the release of their latest album, Never Gonna Touch The Ground, Still Flyin’ has built an incredible reputation as a fun-loving live band, partial to the odd party trick and audience participation. Making use of their strong ties to Australia, the album was mixed in Melbourne by Haima Marriott with help from Gus Franklin (AiH) and Isobel Knowles (ex-AiH).

Spinning on the airwaves nationally has been the first single ‘Good Thing It’s a Ghost Town Around Here’ – the anthemic, highly-rotated ode to workplace hangovers – and the insanely catchy world pop of second single ‘The Hottchord is Struck’. Besides their well-toked reggae/party default setting, Still Flyin’ is equally adept at the penetrating slo-jams (‘Following the Itinerary’/ ‘Haunted Houses’) and high energy thunder-jams (‘Ghost Town’, ‘Dead Memory Man’).

Never Gonna Touch The Ground is available now through Lost and Lonesome. Catch Still Flyin’ on tour nationally during January and February.
