UPDATE 27/11/16: Crowded House’s concert on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House is streaming here right now.
ORIGINAL STORY: If you can’t make it to Crowded House‘s incredibly popular comeback shows on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House next month, it’s not the end of the world.
ABC has announced that it will live simulcast one of the shows on ABC TV as well as on radio station Double J and online streaming platform iView. It will also be streamed live on ABC‘s Facebook page, meaning there’s really no way you could miss it.
The event will be the finale of Ausmusic Month which sees triple j and the ABC celebrate all things Australian music with feature albums, Like A Version and more shining a spotlight.
“Ausmusic Month began at triple j more than 20 years ago and the ABC is pleased it has been able to support Australian music and highlight the creative work of so many musicians, producers and the wider industry,” ABC Managing Director Michelle Guthrie said.
Crowded House’s four ‘Encore’ shows at the Opera House will be a celebration of their induction into the ARIA Hall Of Fame as well as 20 years since they said farewell to the world on the steps of the Opera House.
The event will be simulcast on Sunday, 27th November which is the last of their four shows.
