That Ned Flanders-Themed Metal Band Okilly Dokilly Are Releasing An Album

Yep, it’s really happening. The world’s first Ned Flanders-themed band Okilly Dokilly are releasing their debut album, Howdilly Doodilly, on 11th November.

Operating within the genre of Nedal (Ned and metal), they’re releasing a whole album full of Flanderisms, with 75 per cent of the lyrics made up of Ned Flanders’ quotes, which means there’s going to be plenty of “Hi-dilly-ho” to go around.

The metal band caught the world’s attention with their demoes last year, but now they’ve been turned into fully-fledged songs and are all included on the album, alongside nine other new songs, with amazing titles like Nothing At All and Godspeed Little Doodle.

“When we recorded Howdilly Doodilly our only goal was to make a record that was really brutalino,͟” says Okilly Dokilly lead singer Head Ned about the forthcoming record.

And it better be pretty “brutalino” to match how “brutalino” their demoes were. They garnered so much attention that the band went viral, creating a sudden demand for a debut record.

There’s more coming, too. The group are also in the process of making a music video for the first single White Wine Spritzer, and they’re also heading out on a US tour with McDonald’s-themed Black Sabbath tribute band Mac Sabbath and metal mariachi band Metalachi in March 2017.

It’s all happening for Okilly Dokilly, and we reckon Ned Flanders himself would be just as excited as we are.
