Dillon Francis Has A New Album In The Works

US producer Dillon Francis recently released a brand new track with Will Heard titled Anywhere, but now he has also just revealed that he’s got a new album in the works.

Speaking to Linda Marigliano on triple j live this evening, Francis was asked whether Anywhere was likely to be part of a new project. He confirmed that there’s definitely something in the works, but that “It’s more of an LP. So seven, eight tracks.”

The new project is likely to have more of a Latin sound, Francis revealed. “I want to work with more Latin artists,” in order to create a “spanglish moombahton vibe,” whatever that means.

Whilst on the line, Dillon also admitted that in retrospect he wasn’t entirely happy with his 2014 album Money Sucks, Friends Rule – and said that he’s aiming to make the new LP more cohesive.

“I really want to make something that’s more cohesive. I feel like my last album was a little bit all-over-the-place.”

Over the next year his plans are pretty much “just working on the new album,” as well as taking a chance to relax at home after a pretty hectic year which involved some incredible shows in Australia.
