Run The Jewels Drop New Track ‘2100’ For “Everyone Who Is Hurting Or Scared Right Now”

The release of Run The Jewels 3 can’t be too far away now, with Killer Mike and El-P today sharing a second new track called 2100 in the lead up to the album.

The new release features Boots, who collaborated with the boys on RTJ2, and was shared with a poignant message given the current state of US politics following the election of Donald Trump as US President overnight.

“For our friends. For our family. For everyone who is hurting or scared right now,” Run The Jewels wrote in a tweet.

“Here is a song we wrote months ago. We weren’t planning on releasing it yet but… well it feels right, now. It’s about fear and it’s about love and it’s about wanting more for all of us.”

El-P then responded to many fans questioning whether the song had been written about the US Presidential election.

“We didn’t write the song about the election. We wrote it about something bigger… seems to fit though,” he said.

2100 follows the duo’s previous track Talk To Me, which dropped in October.
