Dizzee Rascal Turns To Classic Poetry

London rapper Dizzee Rascal is turning to the works of some of literature’s most revered names in order to improve his ‘flow’.

The Sun reports that Dizzee has been reading the works of prominent Romantic poets William Blake, William Wordsworth, John Keats and Lord Byron. The famed rapper is currently taking time off from performing live in order to concentrate on putting together his fifth album and follow-up to 2009’s Tongue N’ Cheek.

A source said, “Dizzee hopes reading poetry will broaden his horizons and make him an even better rapper. He knows he has to push himself to make a great fifth album and reading accomplished poets can only help.”

Dizzee Rascal, real name Dylan Kwabena Mills, has been out to Australia more than once in his career thus far, including the memorable trip that ended up with him attempting to fight an audience member who threw a canister of deodorant at his head at Big Day Out in Brisbane in 2010. He most recently played dates as part of the 2011 Future Music Festival.

Apart from that, Dizzee hasn’t been up to much in 2011, working on new material and possibly wondering about what sounds like a very strange sitcom about his life.
