Bikers Rescue Bruce Springsteen After His Motorbike Breaks Down

On Friday evening Bruce Springsteen was stranded by the side of a road in Jersey, next to a broken down motorbike, until he was luckily spotted by a group of bikies.

As Associated Press reports, some local bikers happened to stumble across a stranded Springsteen, soon realising that they were indeed the lucky ones.

The friendly bikers did their best to get Bruce’s bike roadworthy again, but had no luck. So, Springsteen climbed aboard biker Ryan Bailey’s motorcycle, and they made their way to a nearby pub for a few coldies. Around 45 minutes and a few beers later, the help Springsteen needed for his bike arrived, and he reportedly threw the fellas $100 for their troubles and was on his way.

Biker Dan Barkalow told the AP, “Bikers gotta stick together. I stopped to see if he needed help, and it was Bruce… We sat there and shot the breeze for a half hour, 45 minutes till his ride showed up. Nice guy, real down to earth. Just talked about motorcycles and his old Freehold days.”

Springsteen’s aptly titled memoir, Born To Run, came out last month. He also recently expanded his upcoming Australian tour, so any Aussies fans out there wanting to catch him live — 2017 is your year.
