Basenji Is Headlining A Free ‘House Party’ In Sydney Next Week

Fighting for our right to party is something that we’ve become quite accustomed to here in Sydney, and next week will see our mid-week trash-on dreams come true when club hound Basenji headlines a celebration of the Beastie Boys anthem (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!).

The second in a series of new and immersive themed parties, the ‘Fight For Your Right’ #IRL event is looking to recreate the classic house party vibe the Beastie’s fought so hard to preserve.

Next Tuesday, fans can expect to find Oxford Art Factory decked out in the true spirit of the iconic ’80s anthem, with a mirrored infinity room, ’80s-style neon-lit milk crates, a living room, bedroom and all the expected house party trimmings.

Self-described gentleman and ‘lovetronica’ producer Just A Gent and synth master/Stranger Things superfan Luke Million will be joining Basenji on the night, to keep the party going.

As part of the official ARIA week showcase, this round promises to be even bigger and better than the first. Entry is free but gatecrashers will be turned away, so dust off your bucket hat, take the Wednesday off work and hit up the 5SEEDS website to get on the guestlist.

Catch all the deets, below.
