Coldplay Planning New EP ‘Kaleidoscope’ In 2017

Good news Coldplay fans. It turns out that their 2015 record A Head Full Of Dreams won’t be their final musical project together.

The band announced today via Twitter that they’re working on new music to be released via an EP in 2017 titled Kaleidoscope.

Over the past year or so there’s been plenty of speculation that Coldplay might break up, especially since frontman Chris Martin said in 2014 that A Head Full Of Dreams was being treated as the “final thing we’re doing.”

Many thought that after their current world tour, that’s taken up much of the band’s time over the best part of a year – Coldplay might cease to create music.

It’s looking like this new EP will centre around the single Kaleidoscope from their recent album, in the same way that their 2014 EP A Sky Full Of Stars centered that the track by the same name from their previous album Ghost Stories.

“Hello everyone, we’re working on some new songs for next year. It’s called the Kaleidoscope ep. We hope you’re well, love cm ” tweeted the band.

Coldplay’s 2016 Australian tour kicks off in December, and in a creative new move they’re taking requests from fans to create their setlists.
