That Tupac Biopic Is Being Touted For A 2017 Release

It’s been a hell of a wait, but that Tupac Shakur biopic that was given the green light way back in 2013 looks like it’ll be released next year.

All Eyez On Me which has been produced by Tupac’s mother Afeni Shakur, wrapped up production this year, and now Dom Santana who plays Suge Knight in the film has taken to Instagram to announced the official release date for the flick.

Rumours circulated earlier this year that the film might be released in September this year to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Shakur’s death, but clearly it was not to be.

According to Santana All Eyez On Me will be released on June 16th, 2017 – which would have been Tupac’s 46th birthday, and Santana has asked fans not to whine about the wait but rather to just enjoy the film when it’s finally released.

“We’re all anxious for it to come out but people gotta remember it’s a major film and there’s a lot of process to releasing major films,” he said. “This was no regular movie so you’ve been hearing about it since we started.

“So relax and look for the formal announcement soon and actual promotion to start coming out.”
