Paul McCartney Does a Suprise DJ Set at Coachella

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has stunned clubbers at Coachella on the weekend when he joined House DJ Afrojack on stage to spin some tunes.

He flew in to Coachella on Friday and immediately headed towards the dance tent, jumped up on stage and took to the decks while his partner Nancy Shevell looked on.

A source told the Sun Newspaper “It was a weird and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Macca popped up in Afrojack’s set and was having it on stage behind the DJ booth. Nancy was standing behind him like a typical house DJ’s girl.

“I think a lot of the ravers thought they were seeing things – when word spread around the site, everyone thought it was a wind-up.”

Later, Usher joined Sir Paul on stage for a dance off in front of thousands of clubbers.

In other Macca news, he’s reported to be releasing an album of other artists covering his songs, with the likes of Billy Joel, Kiss and The Cure. And contributing vocals on comedian Steve Martin’s new album Rare Bird Alert.
