Flume Has “Loads Of Music Right Now”, Is Going To Keep Dropping EPs

Flume has just collected the Album Of The Year ARIA for his second album Skin and will release a companion EP tomorrow but it doesn’t sound like the new music is stopping anytime soon.

Fresh from picking up eight ARIAs, Flume had a chat with triple j and revealed that he’s got a swag of new tunes that he wants to get off his hands.

“I’ve got loads of music right now that I’m sitting on, which I’m really excited about,” he told Veronica & Lewis.

“I think I’m going to keep releasing EPs, not just companion ones but EPs in general. I’m excited about getting music out there while I’m still excited about it.”

It’s difficult to see where he gets the time to create all this music given that he’s spent the year touring the world, playing huge festivals like Coachella and headlining our very own Splendour In The Grass. But, it seems he’s on a creative hot streak and who are we to stop him.

He told BBC News this week that he’s “sick of making album,” and is “excited just to do lots of little projects with people and see where it takes me.”

His first Skin Companion EP will be out tomorrow, as mentioned, but by the sounds of it, it won’t be the last.

“We’re doing a couple of companion EPs for the album,” he said.

With the amount of Flume music rushing out, maybe next year’s ARIAs will be all about the Aussie producer again.

Flume will begin a national headline tour tomorrow night in Perth.
