Jimmy Eat World, Missy Higgins, The Living End & More To Perform At 2017 Australian Open

The 2017 Australian Open has announced a music lineup that’s set to make a racket in and around Melbourne Park for the event’s accompaning shindig The Open Sessions. Organisers have gone above and beyond for the lineup, picking current favourites, international heavyweights and straight-up Aussie music icons.

Tkay Maizda will be revving up the party with Mashd N Kutcher and Passerine, with Missy Higgins, Archie Roach and Ben Abraham kicking it on into the next day. Both of those preliminary events will be absoutely free, letting punters make the most of it.

Things are set to get heavier the following eve with Birds Of Tokyo taking to the stage. The following Tuesday will see a small crowd of Australian music icons Jon Stevens, Daryl Braithwaite and Ross Wilson.

Then, titans of the emo movement Jimmy Eat World will perform as part of their 2017 Australian tour. On the tail end, The Open Sessions will be capped off by Peking Duk and DMA’s. The live music will be going down in Birrarung Marr, where the Austarlian Open Live stage will be erected.
