Frank Ocean Announces First Live Shows In Three Years

Enigmatic songbird of our generation Frank Ocean has been confirmed for not one, not two but three live performaces in 2017, marking his first live appearances in three years.

Ocean has been confirmed on the lineup for Lovebox Festival in London this coming July, and Denmark’s NorthSide Festival happening in June. Soon after those confirmations dropped, it was revealed he’ll also be performing at Hangout Music Festival in Alabama, going down in May. He has also been confirmed for Sasquatch! Music Festival in May.

No Australian appearances have been announced as yet, but fans are surely frothing at the prospect of them now that Ocean is heading back out on the road.

2017 will be the first opportunity for fans to hear tracks from Ocean’s latest projects Endless and Blond in a live setting, and by the looks of things, these new dates are just the tip of the iceberg for Ocean’s live schedule in the coming year.

Speaking to The New York Times recently, he revealed that he’s methodically picking where to go based on where his music is getting the most love.

“I need to know how many records I’ve sold, how many album equivalents from streaming, which territories are playing my music more than others, because it helps me in conversations about where we’re gonna be playing shows,” he said.

So, you heard the man, Australians. Get streaming!
