The Sydney metal, punk and hardcore scene will come together to celebrate the life and legacy of late promoter Justin Nichol, with a special tribute festival dubbed simply “JUSTINFEST”.
The Zed Vegas Bookings founder left a hole in the hearts of many when he passed away suddenly last month, and now a bunch of the bands whose lives he touched are joining forces to toast his memory.
Taking place at Sydney’s The Bald Faced Stag on Christmas Eve-Eve, Friday 23rd December, JUSTINFEST will see performances from Zed Vegas faves The Beautiful Monument, We May Fall, Like Royals, Chasing Everest, Mixtape For The Drive, Drowning Atlantis, Andy Illinois, Wil Maisey, Ess-Em and loads more. The festivities will take place across two stages, kicking off at 4pm and running late into the night.
“Who’s ready to party and have a beer for Justin?” organisers posted on the official Facebook event. “We are very honoured to announce our official tribute show to the great man himself, Justin Nichol, and present to you – JUSTINFEST.
“Everyone is welcome, so please like, share, comment and invite your friends to come and celebrate the life of a legend of the live music industry.”
Entry is free (with donations accepted) and open to punters aged 18 years and over.
