Fleet Foxes Reveal Plans For 2017 Australian Tour

UPDATE 01/03/17: Fleet Foxes have announced 2017 Australian shows as part of Vivid LIVE.

ORIGINAL STORY: Seattle indie-folksters Fleet Foxes have revealed they’ve got plans to tour Australia in early 2017.

Responding to questions about a potential European tour on Instagram, Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold has said the band will kick off an extended world tour with some shows in Australia in May next year.

Following that, they’ll play dates in Europe and the USA, with even more dates planned into the start of 2018.

In a separate Facebook post (below), the band then addressed the fact that Iveagh Gardens had already announced their July 2017 show, by confirming “a full world tour for 2017-18”. In the comments section they also revealed that it will include South America.

Pecknold and his band also revealed last month via a Facebook post that they’re almost done with their new album, the first since 2011’s Helplessness Blues. The new album does not yet have a title.

Fleet Foxes were last in Australia for Falls Festival and a bunch of sideshows in 2011 and 2012.
