Sampha Reveals Kanye West Collaborated On ‘Timmy’s Prayer’

UK singer-songwriter-producer Sampha is a red-hot commodity at the moment. His new album is set to be released early in 2017, and following that he’ll be in Australia for a headline tour.

Sampha has already dropped two tracks from the forthcoming record Process, and now he’s revealed that one of those; Timmy’s Prayer, was actually co-written with none other than Kanye West.

“I wrote that song with Kanye West,” Sampha said in an interview with Faster Louder. Sampha was talking about the themes of the track when he dropped the big news.

It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise for fans of either Yeezy or Sampha, given that British artist provided guest vocals to Kanye’s song Saint Pablo released in June this year.

It may be some time before we hear new music from Kanye, given the struggles he’s had in the last few weeks with his mental health – but in a good sign reports emerged last week that he’d finally returned home from hospital.

Sampha’s 2017 Australian tour kicks off in May next year. Head here for full dates and details for how to get your hands on tickets.
