Young Thug Misses Flight, Offers Airline “Bums” $15K To Quit Their Jobs

Last night saw Atlanta rapper Young Thug added to the 2017 Laneway Festival lineup. He’ll play the five dates exclusively, on what will be his live debut in Australia, but amid all the excitement down under, Thug has experienced a mishap on his current tour of the US.

Young Thug was at Atlanta airport earlier today, when he posted a since-deleted video to Instagram detailing some issues which threatened to derail his gig in Seattle later in the evening.

The clip showed him having an altercation with airline staff, and in the caption of the clip he claimed they were “tryin to make me miss my show”. It was clear Thug was getting pretty damn pissed off, and he even offered staff money to quit their jobs.

“Tell them how rude she was,” said the person holding the camera, before Thug approached the check-in desk with a bag full of money. “I’ll give y’all bum ass hoes $15,000 to quit your job,” he said. “I’m giving y’all bums one more chance.”

A representative for the airline reportedly told TMZ that Young Thug had arrived after the airline’s 45-minute cut-off period for check-in prior to his flight to Seattle, but that they were still trying to get him on a flight with a partner airline.

Thug’s Seattle show has since been postponed to Monday, 12th December. Watch him explain the situation and his airport “incident”, below.

And Australian airlines — prepare yourselves for what threatens to be a huge shitstorm if Young Thug doesn’t get his way when he arrives down under in 2017.
