Dead Letter Circus Announce 10th Anniversary National Tour For 2017

Dead Letter Circus are toasting their tin wedding anniversary in 2017, marking 10 years since the release of their debut self-titled EP. And to celebrate, they’ve got something appropriately special in store.

The enduring Brissie alt-rockers will be hitting the road for a new national tour, which will see them perform re-imagined versions of all the songs off their eponymous debut record: The Mile, Lines, Disconnect and Apply, Are We Closer, This Life Awake and Alien, all with “a unique new interpretation”.

Whether this means we could be in for old school DLC with an electro, reggae or progressive-tech-metal twist? Only time will tell.

Under the banner of The Endless Mile, the tour will see DLC visit fans at their favourite venues in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide across March of 2017.

“I literally can’t wrap my head around that this crazy ride has been going for nearly 10 years,” frontman Kim Benzie recalls. “I still remember pulling over the car yelling and screaming when I heard Disconnect and Apply on triple j for the first time. The fact that people connected so deeply with our frantic hyper rock to this day still blows my mind.

“We thought the most fitting way to honour the 10 year anniversary of the EP and the people n the audience who became our road family, was to completely re-invent and invert the songs in a new studio form, and take them on road to some of our favourite venues. We can’t wait to show you the new versions of the songs.”

The band will even be releasing a limited edition recording of the reimagined EP, available at all shows on The Endless Mile.

Tickets to the tour go on sale from Wednesday, 14th December. Catch all the details below.

UPDATE 02/02/17: Dead Letter Circus have announced Melbourne-via-Cronulla band Strangers as the support act for ‘The Endless Mile’ tour, and have also added two new dates in Western Australia. Details below.
