Avenged Sevenfold Working With Cirque Du Soleil On Upcoming Shows

Avenged Sevenfold released their new album The Stage just a couple of months ago, and now it’s been revealed that the band are working on a brand new live show with the help of the circus pros from Cirque Du Soleil.

In an unprecedented step for the Californian metal outfit, the band will work with the biggest theatrical producer in the world for their upcoming world tour, which begins in the UK in January, 2017. The band revealed to Music Feeds recently that the tour will include yet-to-be announced Australian shows

Frontman M Shadows has now told Metal Hammer that they are considering restructuring entire venues for the new shows. “The production that’s being built is different for us, different for anyone I’ve ever seen, the people we’ve hired don’t do tours, they do Cirque du Soleil.

“This is gonna be drawn out into different types of touring, we’re not going on tour for six months, it’ll be two weeks on, two weeks off,” Shadows added.

Explaining why they’d decided to use the Canadian-based company behind Cirque Du Soleil, Shadows said, “I don’t ever feel like we fit in. We’re going to be whatever we feel is right, and if it changes the industry, then great.

“A lot of bands live, breathe and die the 2016 metal scene, but we just live in our own world and try to do things different than everyone else,” he continued. “We’re an oddball.”
