Hilltop Hoods, Briggs, The Funkoars & More Say “Merry Xmas” With Huge Rap Cypher

To mark the end of 2016, a bunch of Golden Era Records artists including Hilltop Hoods, Briggs, The Funkoars and Vents have pooled their collective rap abilities for a huge seven-minute rap cypher that spits straight-up fire, and the whole thing’s available to download for free.

Filmed at Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre, the 2016 Golden Era Records Cypher (below) sees the Golden Era crew (including their latest recruit Purpose) take turns spitting some freestyle bars, covering everything from Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies to reverse racism and “busting nuts with no tissues”, which has led to reactions like this one…

Sharing the cypher on Twitter, Briggs says, “Merry Malcolm-X-mas ya filthy Animals.”

You can watch the crew drop the cypher in full below, and it’s also available on streaming services and for free download over on Audiomack.
