Avril Lavigne Accuses Mark Zuckerberg Of “Promoting Bullying” With His “Jab At Nickelback”

Avril Lavigne has accused Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg of “promoting bullying” in a video he posted earlier this week in which his smart house jokingly refuses to play Nickelback music.

Lavigne, who was once engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, has posted an open letter to Zuckerberg on social media. In it, she says:

“You’re allowed your musical opinion however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste.

“When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what’s going on in the world today.

Zuckerberg is yet to respond, but we’re sure he’ll be just as confused as we are about Lavigne’s response. Read her full letter to Zuckerberg alongside the video in which his house refuses to play Nickelback, below.

This is far from the first time that Lavigne has defended Nickelback since her split from Kroeger in 2015. Earlier this year she defended the band after a new poll found that people disliked (at the time) US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump more than they disliked Nickelback, and look how that turned out for Trump!
