Foo Fighters Are Reportedly Recording A New Album This Year

Rock legends Foo Fighters are reportedly set to record a new album in 2017, as the follow-up to their 2014 album Sonic Highways.

Foo Fighters are set to headline BottleRock Napa Valley Festival in the US in May, and news of their alleged album plans comes from Dave Graham, the CEO of Latitude 38, which is the company behind BottleRock.

In an interview with the Napa Valley Register, Graham says, “The Foo Fighters are in the studio all [2017] recording a new album and BottleRock may be their only show in 2017 in North America.”

Foo Fighters’ next album would be their ninth full-length effort, and would follow their 2015 EPs Songs From The Laundry Room and Saint Cecilia. In November 2016, Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins also released his debut solo album, KOTA.

Foo Fighters haven’t said much about their new music just yet, but if it’s anything like that ‘The Pretender’ & ‘Super Freak’ mashup they shared last month, it’s bound to be brilliant.

Relive the Saint Cecilia EP’s title track below as we wait for more juicy details.
